It's the version of Gohan from Trunks apocalyptic future, he was the only surviving super saiyan, trained Trunks to be a warrior, and died bravely fighting Artificial Humans (androids)#17 and #18 . He was such a bad-ass character, the movie special where that story is showcased is by far the best DBZ movie for me.
